In the early morning of February 6, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake happened near the Turkish/Syrian border. More than 21,00 people were killed to date and thousands more injured, trapped beneath the rubble. Rescue and recovery work is continuing.
PWRDF has already allocated $35,000 to ACT, who are providing food, blankets, mattresses, and medical aid to the affected communities of Aleppo, Hama and Latakia.

Donations can be made to support PWRDF by using your blue envelopes with cheques marked Syrian Earthquake made payable to St. Andrews. The funds will be sent to the Rupert’s Land Diocesan Office to be forwarded to PWRDF. You will be issued your tax-deductible donation in 2024. Alternatively you may mail your donation directly to PWRDF in Toronto.
