On Sunday, September 25th we had the Reverend Deacon Susan Smandych join us for coffee hour so she could present about the Private’s World Relief Development Fund. The presentation was very informative. Did you know that this organization has been providing support since 1958?! During the 2020-2021 year more than $3.8 million was spent on development projects and more that $1,041,000 was spent on emergency relief and refugee response. One of the organizations that is supported by PWRDF is the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, which is close to our hearts with one of the farmers being close to Starbuck, Manitoba. The PWRDF also supports many Indigenous organizations and initiatives.

St. Andrew’s is looking for a parishioner who would act as our PWRDF representative. It involves approximately 4 hours of volunteer time a month. A description of the tasks involved has been attached. Please let Sue Marlatt know if you are interested.
