Creekside Quilters, Tuesday mornings at 9:00 in the upper hall

Creekside Quilters is a wonderful way to spend Tuesday mornings! Peaceful stitching with people who like to laugh, share stories and make friends. We are a small group right now, but we do mighty things. Each year, for many many years, we have assembled and hand quilted a quilt to raffle at the St Andrew’s Bazaar. This is this year’s quilt – tickets for which can be bought in the foyer of the church each Sunday now. This quilt raises funds for the ACW which means, it raises funds for St Andrew’s.

In addition to the ‘Bazaar Quilt’, we make and quilt quilts for the layettes for needy new moms -Thelma Whynne project, and just recently we have taken up making quilts for the ‘Sleep in Heavenly Peace’ project which builds beds for children who have none.

Some members don’t quilt on the projects, but bring their own hand work to work on. If you would like to try quilting, we’ll get you started. If you’d just like to come and have our coffee break with us, you’d be welcome too. Come and see what it’s about! It’s all about the company

Tuesday morning I set aside for quilting with the Creekside group – for the pleasure of doing something for someone else, for watching the beauty of the quilt emerge, but most of all for the friendship and camaraderie I’ve found there.
